Lake Tahoe Music Festival

Returning to its home venue at our Hillside Amphitheater, The Lake Tahoe Music Festival tunes up for its 27th season July 23 – Aug. 8, 2009 and invites music lovers to sit back and relax under the stars. The season, featuring six concerts at four scenic venues throughout the North Lake Tahoe area including historic Donner Lake, Tahoe Donner, Old Greenwood, and Homewood Mountain Resort presents a diverse selection of must-see musical performances featuring the festival’s musical partner the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and artists including Huey Lewis and the News, Boz Scaggs, The Yellowjackets featuring Mike Stern, and Fourplay.

July 23, 2009Opening night the festival highlights the contemporary jazz quartet, Fourplay at the West End Beach at Donner Lake. This chart topping band as explored limitless dimensions and permutations of Jazz.
July 25, 2009Chart topper Huey Lewis and the News have been defying the rock odds makers for over two decades and bring their contagious brand of straight-ahead rock 'n roll to Old Greenwood.
July 30, 2009Broadway Night graces the greens of the Tahoe Donner Driving Range featuring the Music of Rogers & Hammerstein and The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra featuring soloists Rachel York and Sal Viviano.
August 1, 2009Boz Scaggs brings his wistful and impossibly beautiful melodies to Old Greenwood.  
August 6, 2009The Yellowjackets Featuring Mike Stern bring 25 years of evolutionary jazz to Homewood Mountain Resort. Four time Grammy Nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation.
August 8, 2009The Festival's Finale unites the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra at Homewood Mountain Resort.
