Kids Programs

Our Ski School is closed for the 2009-2010 season. See you next year!

Homewood Mountain Resort offers some of the finest children's programs in the region. Our Ski School is certified by the Professional Ski Instructors of America and staffed by well trained instructors who are committed to providing a quality ski experience in a positive and fun environment for your child. 

RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Please register online or call our friendly sales staff at 530.525.1265 to make reservations.

Check-in for all programs begins at 8 a.m. Please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. if you anticipate enrolling your child in our all-day or morning half-day programs. If you arrive later than 8:30 a.m., we may not have time to register and fit your child for equipment before the lesson begins.

This is an educational ski/snowboard program, not a daycare. A parent, guardian or responsible adult must remain on premises while children are enrolled in the ski and snowboard school.

Snow Rangers (ages 4-6)

Located at Homewood's South Lodge, the Snow Ranger Academy offers kids ages 4 to 6 a full or half day of on- and off-mountain fun. Snow Rangers are treated not only to on-snow instruction, but an overall active experience. Features include colorful flags, designated Snow Ranger surface lifts, and the Critter Canyon ski trail with life-sized sculptured deer, bears and other animals indigenous to Tahoe. An on-snow tubing carousel offers a fun ride for small children, while more advanced skiers hang on for an on-snow ride. Indoor activities include games and a kid-sized rock climbing wall.

Mountain Rangers (ages 7-12)

Kids ages 7 through 12 find daily fun at their individual ability level in the Mountain Rangers Program. Mountain Rangers enjoy the trail network located at Homewood's South Lodge, while those who are more experienced adventure to all areas of the mountain  Homewood's Mountain Rangers program is bound to make your child a skier or rider for life!
