Family Private Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Update: Construction Activity in the North Lodge Parking Lot

You may have noticed the abundance of activity and construction equipment currently staged in our North Lodge parking lot.  While we did recently announce progress in the planning phase of our Master Plan, this activity is entirely seperate.  As a service to the community, Homewood Mountain Resort has leased our parking lot to the engineering and construction companies responsible for the improvement projects taking place on Highway 89.  This helps to keep the equipment off of the highway as well as to concentrate the staging areas for equipment and resources into a centralized area.  It is our hope that these efforts will help ensure that visitors and locals alike are still able to experience the beauty and tranquility that makes Lake Tahoe so special, even whilst these improvement projects are happening.  Should you have any quesitons or concerns about this activity, please feel free to contact Guest Services at 530-525-2992.

Private lessons provide the most flexibile learning environment for any skier, rider, or small group. Private instruction is available to beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers and snowboarders who wish to focus on specific goals, build technique and have fun on the slopes.

Homewood’s Family & Friends Private Lesson program allows friends and families take advantage of the opportunity to learn together, to bypass lift lines (yes, even on holidays!), and to save money.

As with any private lesson, the guest can structure the time. Either learning together, or splitting an all-day Family & Friends lesson in time blocks for skiers/rides at radically different ability levels. Often though, it’s an opportunity for a group to share the laughs and experience of a day on the mountain together.

Call today to make a reservation at 530-584-6844.

Please note when you book a group for a family private lesson, everyone must be of the same discipline. Family private lessons are booked on the hour for a variety of durations.

Early Bird (1-hour private lesson from 9-10 a.m.) $79 $99
Half Day (up to 5 people) $379 $399
Full Day (up to 5 people) $479 $499

During our peak periods, you will find our private lesson availability becomes limited, particularly between 9 a.m. and noon. Booking ahead of time can eliminate this issue and is highly suggested if you would like a morning private lesson. If you are planning on booking a particular instructor, booking one month in advance is the best way to ensure your instructor's availability. Call today to make a reservation at 530-584-6844.

Private lessons do not include lift ticket or equipment rental.

Please consider the time it may take for the rental process and arrive at least one hour prior to lesson start time.

*Peak dates include all Saturday's, December 21, 2013 - January 4, 2014; January 18-20 2014; February 15-22, 2014.
