Adult Lessons

Homewood’s adult group lessons cater to guests ages 13+ of any ability level. Whether you are brand new to winter sports or want to improve your technical skills and confidence on the slopes, our instructors are eager to help you reach the next level.

Our top to bottom beginner trails allow skiers and riders who have mastered the basics to enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the peak.

 

2019-20 First Time Learn to Ski/Ride Packages

This lesson is for those who have NEVER BEEN skiing or snowboarding before. If you have skied before (even if it was only once or twice) please book our Beginner – Intermediate Group Lesson Package, below.

Learn to ski/ride packages include lesson, all-day equipment rental and all-day beginner lift ticket. Guests wishing to upgrade to a full Homewood lift ticket (allowing access to all chairlifts) in the afternoon after their lesson package can do so for an additional cost.

2019-20 Beginner & Intermediate Lesson Package

This lesson is for BEGINNER to INTERMEDIATE skiers and riders who have been on snow before. If you have never been on snow before please book our Learn to Ski / Ride Lesson Package.

Receive personalized ski instruction with a small sized group lessons! Designed for beginner – intermediate skiers who have tried skiing and are looking to develop a solid feeling of control. This Beginner – Intermediate packages include lesson, all-day equipment rental and all-day all-mountain lift ticket. (Helmets are not included in this package, but are available to rent on-site at an additional fee.)

Learning how to Ski or Ride is as “Easy as 1-2-3” when you sign up for our newest program. Skiers and boarders aged 13+ can pre-purchase a 3 Pack of Ski / Snowboard Lesson and be automatically enrolled in the “Easy as 1-2-3” program to get rewarded with a Season Pass upon the programs completion.

All adult group lesson participants should check in at the Ski & Snowboard School building (Little Red School House) behind the North Lodge at least 30 minutes prior to the lesson start time (we recommend at least 1 hour prior on weekends/holidays). Lesson times are 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. OR 1 – 3:30 p.m. for Learn to Ski and Ride Lessons and for Beginner – Intermediate Lessons. We strongly recommend advanced registration to expedite the check-in process. Same-day on-site registration cannot be guaranteed.

Lesson Cancellation Policy

Credit cards are charged at the time of the reservation. There will be a $50 charge for cancellations made after your reservation has been made. Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the lesson time will be charged the full amount, regardless of weather conditions. A no-call/no-show will be charged the full amount. Reservations cancelled after the start of the lesson will be considered a no-show.
