Take those couple hundred steps and add 1,650ft elevation gain and you’ll find an extraordinary lake view. The kind of view that will make you stop in your tracks. The kind of view that you remember and want to share. Being the closest resort to the lake in Tahoe, the proximity tells it all. This is the spot. This is…

Spend a season admiring the view

Homewood’s unbeatable views are provided by it’s close proximity to Lake Tahoe. With a mere distance of 280 steps, Madden Chair is the nearest chairlift to the lake in the entire basin.

After a long day on the slopes skiers and riders can walk across the street to the West Shore Cafe for FREE Lakeside S’mores from 4:00 to 4:30 pm Fridays through Mondays through the winter.
During the summer, boaters receive complimentary boat valet when visiting the West Shore Cafe & Inn for a dining experience.
Take a cruise down our 2-mile signature beginner run Rainbow Ridge and experience panoramic views of both North & South Lake Tahoe while skiing down to the lake.

A Ski and Stay package like none other! Homewood’s sister property the West Shore Cafe and Inn sits right on the shores of Lake Tahoe mere steps from the lift…. 280 steps to be exact. Catch the sunrise on the lake and never be late for first chair again.
The inn features four suites two guest rooms and two three-bedroom villas.
Ski peak-to-shore-to-lake, all in the same competition! This spring event brings out the best of both snow & waterskiing in one dynamic contest. Gates and Wakes was first started by our friends at Superior Boat Repair & Sales and we are excited to partner with them and host this annual event for years to come.

Regardless of the season, you can enjoy the West Shore atmosphere and view year-round. During the summer, both the West Shore Cafe & Inn and Homewood High & Dry Marina are in full operations offering an up-close-and-personal experience right on the lake. Between renting jet skis, taking a wake surf lesson or topping off your summer day with craft cocktails on the pier, it’s a hard day to beat.
In the winter months, the West Shore Cafe & Inn continues to offer restaurant service offering an ever-changing seasonal menu, ski & stay lodging packages, and of course- lakeside après after the mountain’s chairs stop spinning.
